Drew Katz

In 2003, Drew Katz established what is now known as The Rachel & Drew Katz Foundation, a charitable foundation that has contributed nearly $5M to more than 550 charities nationwide. The intent of the Foundation is to lift the hopes and aspirations of those facing difficult challenges, with an emphasis on programs and services benefiting youth. 

Drew is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in America. His passion is sharing that success through philanthropy, living each day by the words that guided his Dad, Lewis Katz, “You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.” (John Wooden)

As Chief Executive Officer of Interstate Outdoor Advertising, LP, one of America’s fastest-growing outdoor advertising companies, Drew has brought innovation and creativity to the outdoor advertising industry, reaching consumers in new and exciting ways in the nation’s top markets of New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Chicago and San Francisco.

Rachel katz

Rachel Katz is a former pro bono attorney in New York for The Door Legal Services Center, a nonprofit organization that provides legal, career, and other development services for impoverished young people. At The Door, Rachel helped undocumented youth gain access to protections under U.S. immigration law and specialized in affirmative Special Immigrant Juvenile cases. 

Rachel graduated from George Washington University and received a law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. While attending law school, Rachel clerked for the Honorable Ronald Richter at Queens Family Court, assisting in abuse, neglect, and custody cases.

Together with her husband, Rachel oversees The Rachel & Drew Katz Foundation. Rachel is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Project Downtown, a nonprofit organization in New York committed to serving the Jewish community.

Rachel is a full-time mother who lives in Tribeca with her husband Drew and two children, Maya and Leo.

Zulma Gonzalez-Lombardo

A native of Camden, New Jersey, Zulma Gonzalez-Lombardo is the Executive Director of The Rachel & Drew Katz Foundation. Zulma graduated in 2005 with a master’s degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). 

Zulma has worked in social service and organizational development for the better part of three decades, starting in 1987 at Volunteers of America Delaware Valley, Inc. (“VOADV”). During her tenure at VOADV, one of the largest nonprofit human services organizations in the tri-state area, Zulma held several positions, including executive coordinator to the President/CEO.  In 2005, she left VOADV to complete her master’s degree, and later launched a high-impact advisory service firm, Zed Management Consultancy, LLC. During this time, she has worked with organizations in nonprofit, for-profit, education, and health care sectors, facilitating improvement of administrators, operations executives and teams. Zulma joined The Rachel & Drew Katz Foundation in 2015 as the Executive Director. 

Zulma is actively involved in several community organizations. In 2014, Zulma became the President of the Promise Academy Charter School in Camden. She is the Vice Chairwoman of the Salvation Army Kroc Center Camden, the Vice President of the Board of the Camden’s Charter School Network, and a member of the Board of the Hispanic Leadership Association. Zulma is a passionate supporter of the Philadelphia Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. 

 

 

Simona Navala

A seasoned creative leader, Simona Navala brings her expertise in developing, guiding and implementing marketing initiatives to her role as the Foundation’s Chief Marketing Officer. She manages the Foundation’s brand strategy through various design and communication disciplines. Recognized for a high-energy, collaborative approach, Simona is passionate about using creative services to help further the Foundation’s mission.

In addition to her work with The Rachel & Drew Katz Foundation, Simona actively supports a variety of organizations through her time and resources, including International Animal Rescue, National MS Society, ASPCA and The American Red Cross.

Simona is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland, with a BA in Communications and Advertising.

Kristy derk

As the Foundation’s Art Director, Kristy brings all of her philanthropic qualities and design skills to the table. Kristy is a graduate of Kutztown University, with a BFA in Communication Design and dual concentrations in Graphic Design and Advertising Design. During her senior year at Kutztown, she was among four students chosen to participate in a National Portfolio Review in New York City. She also completed an internship with the prestigious Partners Design in Bernville, PA and studied abroad through the KU-UK program.

A Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts, Kristy volunteers her time each year for Schwaben Covered Bridge Day Camp, which she attended and has been involved with since childhood. Kristy is also a Gold Award recipient and scholarship winner, the highest award in Girl Scouting. As part of earning this honor, Kristy led a campaign to collect school supplies, which were then distributed to struggling schools worldwide by The American Red Cross.

 

 

Mark macey

Mark Macey has served as Treasurer of The Rachel & Drew Katz Foundation since its inception. In addition to his work with Drew Katz, and The Rachel & Drew Katz Foundation, Mr. Macey has been the Chief Financial Officer of Interstate Outdoor Advertising, LP since 1996. 

Prior to joining Interstate Outdoor Advertising, Mark was a Senior Staff Accountant at Alloy, Silverstein, Shapiro, Adams, Mulford & Company from 1987 - 1995.  Mark is a Certified Public Accountant in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Mark has also been a dedicated public servant for over a decade, serving as a council member of  Delran Township, New Jersey from 1997 until 2010. He is a graduate of Glassboro State College, now known as Rowan University.
